It’s not often a man let’s go of his only girl

Without reservation.

She’s not someone he easily shares

With just any other.

A man wants to know that the one he trusts

With the woman who shares his heart,

Is going to hold her in highest esteem

And care for her as his own.

It has been my pleasure to watch as you’ve grown

Into the man I had dreamed

Would take on the task.
